Heeling Diabetes was founded by Anjellica Sharpe in October 2013. She had a vision of helping diabetics maintain a healthy and comfortable lifestyle while a cure is being found. Anjellica was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 16 and wanted to make a difference in others since then. She grew up watching her grandmother give herself insulin shots, not knowing that would be her injecting fluid to make up for what her pancreas wasn’t doing. She became even more passionate about making a difference as she heard her fellow diabetes advocates express their journey with this disease. Like many diabetics, Anjellica was struggling with paying for a drug she needed to stay alive, insulin.  It was at that point she decided to do something about it and start her own non-profit organization to assist diabetics financially with their medication. Anjellica is now a Certified PEER Diabetes Educator and offer FREE classes to pre-diabetics and diabetics with Medicare and/or Medicade. Her purpose is to make a difference in the lives of those affected with this disease in & out of her community. Our mission is to Heal, Empower and Educate the life of those affected with diabetes. Take a walk in these heels and together we can stomp diabetes.
